JL Copeland fell into a rabbit hole/moved to South Korea back before the beard boom. With an unsettling imagination or a talent for bullshit (depending on who you spoke to), they reached the point where the torment of their friends, family, and students no longer sated them. Seeking a wider audience and wanting the nightmares to go away, they turned to writing horror, dystopia, and dark fiction.
