Instructions – How to Whitelist my Domain
Find find your email service below and follow the instructions.
Gmail
- Open your Gmail account.
- Click the “Settings” icon in the top-right corner, then select “See all settings.”
- Click on “Filters and Blocked Addresses” tab.
- Click “Create a new filter.”
- In the “From” field, enter *@jlcopeland.com
- Click “Create filter.”
- In the next window, check “Never send it to Spam” and click “Create filter” again.
Yahoo
- Login to your Yahoo email account
- Click the settings icon in the top right corner, then select “More settings.”
- Click on “Filters” in the left-hand menu.
- Click “Add new filters.”
- Provide a name for the filter, and under “Set rules,” choose “From” and “contains.”
- Enter the domain: jlcopeland.com
- Under “Choose a folder to move to,” select “Inbox” and click “Save.”
Outlook 2003 or newer
- Right-click on the message from me in your inbox.
- Select “Junk E-mail” from the menu.
- Click “Add Sender’s Domain to Safe Senders List”
Hotmail Live, Windows Live, or MSN
Check your junk folder to see if there’s an email from me in there. If so, pick Approach 1. If not, pick Approach 2.
Approach 1: Email in Junk Folder
- Check the junk folder.
- If an email from jlcopeland.com is in the junk folder, click “Show content” to view the body of the email.
- Click “Mark as safe.”
- My email address will now be added to your list of safe senders.
Approach 2: No email from me in your Junk Folder
- Click “Options” in the upper right corner of your Hotmail screen.
- In the body of the page, under Junk e-mail, click the link “Safe and blocked senders.”
- Click the link “Safe senders.”
- Enter *@jlcopeland.com
- Click “Add to list.”
AOL
- Log into your account and click the “Settings” link.
- On the “Settings” page, select “Spam Settings.”
- Choose “Custom” in the “Sender Filter” section.
- Add *@jlcopeland.com to the text box.
- Click “Save Settings” to save your changes.
Mac/Apple Mail
- From the top menu on your screen, Select “Mail” then “Settings.”
- In the “Settings” window, click the “Rules” icon.
- Click the “Add Rule” button.
- In the “Rules” window, give your rule a name by entering it in the “Description” field.
- Use the following settings:
- “If any of the following conditions are met:
- “From” + “Contains” + *@jlcopeland.com (type in *@jlcopeland.com in the last field)
- Perform the following actions:
- “Move Message” to mailbox: “Inbox” (select the appropriate inbox from the drop-down menu).
- Click “OK” to save the rule.
Thunderbird
- Open the email message from me.
- Click the star next to the sender’s name and address to add the domain to your address book.
